This statement explains how accessible our website is, what we are improving and how to ask for help.
At a glance
- We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA.
- Everything works with a keyboard and screen reader.
- Animations stop if your device is set to reduce motion.
- Call us if you need information in another format.
1. Our commitment
We want everyone to be able to use our website, whether they are looking for staff or looking for work. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
2. What you can do on this site
- Use every page, menu, form, tab and accordion with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline.
- Skip straight to the main content with the “Skip to content” link.
- Zoom up to 400% without content being cut off or needing to scroll sideways.
- Use a screen reader: images have text descriptions, and form fields have labels and clear error messages.
- Turn off movement: if your device is set to reduce motion, our animations, moving backgrounds and carousels stop or switch to simple fades.
- Read text in colours that meet the WCAG AA contrast ratio.
- Complete our forms in steps on small screens, with progress announced to screen readers.
3. Known limitations
We know about these issues and are working on them:
- The office map on our Contact page comes from Google Maps and may not work fully with assistive technology. Our full address is always shown as text beside it.
- Some decorative animations are visible for a short time when a page first loads.
[CONFIRM: update this list after an independent accessibility audit]
